Earlier this week Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were unable to come to an agreement regarding the custody of their sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. And yesterday the “Gimme More” songstress was spotted paying her lawyer a visit.
Miss Spears and her bodyguard were seen arriving at her lawyer’s office in Los Angeles, California looking serious. Brit sported a summery pink top with Capri jeans and a pair of heeled sandals.
And while the “How I Met Your Mother” ratings jumped when the “Piece of Me” singer hit the screen, it seems she won’t be in the race for a Best Guest Actress Emmy Award.
For whatever reason, Britney didn’t make the top 11 list of guest actresses for this year’s consideration. Also joining her in the Snub Department are Sarah Chalke (Scrubs blonde who played Spears’ boss on HIMYM), Mary-Kate Olsen (for her role as a Bible-thumper on Weeds) and Alyssa Milano (for her role on My Name is Earl).
Singer-Song writer Kara Dioguardi has signed on for Britney’s new upcoming album. Kara wrote and recorded vocals for “Brave New Girl” from the album “In the Zone”, she also produced “Ooh Ooh Baby” and “Heaven on Earth” from Britney’s latest album “Blackout.”
The company VeronicInc, is responsible for producing backdrops/LED screens for important tours, just added the name of Britney Spears among its clients. This leads us to imagine that a tour might be coming!

BRITNEY SPEARS' acclaimed stint on U.S. sitcom HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER hasn't earned her an Emmy nod - she and MARY-KATE OLSEN's guest TV spots won't be among those competing for gold.
Both stars have been left off the top 10 list of Emmy semifinalists in the Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category.
Instead, Sarah Silverman is a favourite for her part as an obsessed stalker in Monk, alongside Oscar nominee Amy Ryan for her star turn in The Office.

Britney Spears' new studio album continues to create a buzz as the pop star successfully puts her life and professional career back on rail.
Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins, who worked with Spears on her 2001 album, Britney, producing the remix for the track Overprotected and I Love Rock 'n' Roll, told Rap-Up TV that he is working on "very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy, and hook friendly" material for Britney's next album.
"I'm just trying some new things. I've always worked with Britney," he said. "I love working with her. I'm just trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project."
Jenkins, who will produce two tracks for the new album due to hit shelves in 2009, started working with Spears just four weeks back, but the two have already laid down some sample tracks, which Jenkin attributes to Britney's professionalism.
"It usually takes people a long time to record songs and we just did a song. She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30 -- did the whole song -- in and out," he says.
Spears, who made a professional comeback in 2007 with the release of her sixth studio album, Blackout, after a four year hiatus, was back in the studio in May with producers JR Rotem and Sean Garrett evolving the sound and direction for her next album.
Speaking at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on May 20, Rotem told People, "She's great. She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her."

MTV bosses are considering inviting BRITNEY SPEARS to September's (08) Video Music Awards (VMAs) - 12 months after her disastrous 'comeback' performance at the event.
The pop star disappointed fans and the watching world with a lacklustre rendition of single Gimme More at the bash in Las Vegas last year- just six months after allegedly suffering a meltdown.
She was later spotted crying backstage.
But VMAs organisers want to give Spears the chance to redeem herself by taking to the stage again.
MTV president Van Toffler says, "Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?"
The VMAs are moving back to Los Angeles this year, and will take place at Paramount Studios on 7 September (08).
Custody of BRITNEY SPEARS and KEVIN FEDERLINE's two young sons will be settled in a trial in August (08), after an attempt to settle out of court failed on Thursday (26Jun08).
The pair spent the day in talks with a mediator, but Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan has confirmed no agreement could be reached. He tells E! News, "The mediation didn't result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August." But he insists there was no breakdown in communication between the former couple, adding, "The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary.
"If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties... we wouldn't have to go to trial. But that didn't happen." The trial is due to begin on 25 August (08), and would result in a final custody ruling.
Kaplan added that Federline is seeking sole physical and legal custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Federline was handed full custody of the boys after Spears was committed to a psychiatric facility to treat an alleged bipolar disorder following a stand-off with police and childcare officials in January (08).
Earlier this week (beg23Jun08), Spears was granted an extension to her custory rights when a judge agreed she could spend one night a week with her sons.
Enjoy the pictures of Britney Spears out at Sur last night (June 27).
With all of the celebrity restaurant appearances these days, you gotta wonder - does anyone cook anymore? Last night, Britney Spears was spotted out to dinner at Sur restaurant in West Hollywood.
The “Gimme More” songstress looked flirty in a black-with-embroidered-designs minidress teamed with a pair of massive platform heels and an oversized black handbag.
Meanwhile, her ex-hubby Kevin Federline was spotted on the opposite coast, doing a little shopping with some guy pals in Miami, Florida.
As far as their ongoing custody case, it seems Brit and Kevin are indeed headed back to court this August. A recent meeting with a mediator reportedly wasn’t enough to settle things.
K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told press, "The mediation didn't result in an agreement that would avoid the trial set in August ... The mood was comfortable, positive and it was a mood that was consistent with opening at least a great dialogue, which is necessary."
